Hi, my name is Sam and this blog comes from my love of both history and photography, a love which I hope to share through this site. I have always been fascinated by the history that has surrounded me since a child; whether school trips to see Norman castles or growing up just off of Watling Street, one of Britain's oldest thoroughfares. I genuinely enjoy discovering how and why things are the way they are today, fuelling my interest in continuously learning about new things.

As a visitor here, you will hopefully be transported back in time through my words and the relatively modern visual lens of photography.
